‘Foden won’t make same Man City call as Sancho’ – Exciting midfielder has no need to leave, says Goater

The former Blues striker says it is ‘an easy decision’ for a highly-rated academy graduate to stay put and fight for more regular game time

Phil Foden will not head the same way as Jadon Sancho at Manchester City, says Shaun Goater, with it an “easy decision” for another talented teenager to stay put and fight for regular game time.

One promising academy star took the decision to leave the Etihad Stadium back in 2017 as his path to the first team was blocked by seasoned international performers.

Sancho has gone on to earn senior recognition with England after swapping life at City for that at German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Mariano Diaz to leave Real Madrid on two-season loan, according to agent

David Aranda claims the out-of-favour striker will likely secure a temporary move away from Santiago Bernabeu in the winter transfer window

Real Madrid forward Mariano Diaz will be sent out on loan for two seasons when the January transfer market opens, according to his agent David Aranda.

Diaz graduated to Madrid’s senior squad in 2014 after rising through the youth ranks, but was made to wait until 2016 for his debut.

The mercurial striker, who was born in Barcelona but later gained citizenship in the Dominican Republic, scored one goal in eight La Liga matches that season, but never quite managed to establish himself as a regular in the Blancos’ starting line up.

‘Guardiola will stay & City won’t swap Sterling for Bale’ – Wright-Phillips expecting key men to be retained

The former Blues winger cannot see a top boss walking away any time soon, while a trade deal with Real Madrid makes no sense regarding a star forward

Pep Guardiola will stay at Manchester City even if they fail to land the Premier League title or Champions League crown, says Shaun Wright-Phillips, while Raheem Sterling is expected to remain with the Blues amid talk of a possible swap deal involving Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

A Catalan coach at the Etihad Stadium has history when it comes to walking away from prominent posts on the back of considerable success.

He has made City a dominant force in English football, with an historic treble secured in 2018-19, but has appeared agitated at times this season as VAR calls have gone against his side to leave them nine points adrift of table-topping Liverpool.
